“Sing me a Picture”
Dunlop Church’s first community event of 2014 is to be a creative one, with music, art and story and will take place on the afternoon and evening of Sunday 19th January.
We are extremely fortunate to have professional musicians Hector Scott and Anna Mavromatidi and artists, Marsha Burke and Nina Russell and Shinobu Miki Scott joining us for this event.
Events Programme
2.00-4.00 Two one-hour long workshops where children will participate in drawing, painting and origami inspired by song and story.
Workshops will be suitable for children aged 5+ and places will be limited to 40 children per workshop. Cost £2 per child
4.00-5.15 A workshop for all aged between 10 and 110 will provide an opportunity to form a choir and learn two songs which they will then perform as part of the evening concert.
Who knows, we could end up with a Dunlop Community Choir!!!! Cost £3 per person
No auditions needed and all abilities welcome
5.15-6.00 Soup and sandwiches will be available Cost £2
6.30-7.30 Concert with Hector Scott , Anna Mavromatidi and the choir. In addition, art work from the children’s workshops will be displayed.
